Village Teens is our youth employment program. A Babysitters Club for the next generation. We place trained, community-vetted teen sitters with families who need trusted, flexible childcare support.
What We Do
Youth employment,
rooted in care.
Village Teens connects responsible, enthusiastic teens (ages 14–19) with families in our network who need reliable sitting support. Whether it's a few hours of childcare while a postpartum parent rests, or an afternoon with older siblings while a newborn care specialist works, Village Teens fill a real need.
Every Village Teen completes an orientation with Village Her, is matched thoughtfully to families, and is supported by an adult Village Her team member throughout their placements.
This is more than a job. It's an introduction to the world of perinatal care, family support, and community service, with a paycheck attached.
Trusted Care
Village Teens are vetted, trained, and backed by the Village Her network. Families can feel confident knowing their children are in good hands.
Community Rooted
We believe in investing in our young people. Village Teens are part of the Village Her family, supported by mentors who look like them and believe in them.
Real Employment
This is paid work, not volunteering. Village Teens earn competitive wages and build a professional track record from an early age.
Safe & Supported
Every Village Teen is supervised, insured under Village Her, and never placed in a situation beyond their training level.
